Sofia at a Starbucks store in St. Augustine, Florida. She was looking at cookies and I snuck around and got a picture of her, holding the camera at my hip since I wanted to shoot from her perspective.
I'm glad she didn't notice me, since whenever she sees the camera now, she runs around screaming, trying to hide.
Ah!!!! What an awesome shot! I really, really love the perspective, it really does let us 'enter her world' for a moment. The giant cookies also help the perspective, since everything is bigger when you are that small. Is that your daughter? She is so precious! I think the grain really works well with this photo, usually I don't like high ISO's, but it helps inhance it in this case. There are only a couple negative things about it and you only really notice it if you look a bit closely. The man in the background is a bit destracting, but honestly, what could you have done to move him lol. The other is that her hand is a bit blurry, I just have a thing against blur in photos lol, even ones that are meant to be 'moving'. Man it was hard to find something wrong with this photo! You really did an amazing job. I want a cookie now xD
The lighting on this picture was excellent. I immediately looked at the girl in shadow and then I followed her gaze to the food. I like how the light hilighted the food as from her perspective this is how it would be, ignoring herself while focusing on her desire. I also like how the bar stretches beyond tthe picture
The quality of the photo is excellent considering that you had to take the picture then hide the camera before the child noticed and ran away screaming.
This is an excellent photo showing a child and her simple desire. It makes me a bit nostalgic for my childhood.
