Sofia's contagious smile. Taken this Easter right after an egg hunt. I love the dimple on her left cheek.

Taken with my favorite portrait lens: Canon f/1.8 50mm. It has no zoom and requires you to position yourself a bit far away but it compensates with killer bokeh and tack sharp photos.

Ok lets see. It's a very very pleaseing photo. I actually think the border works in its favor. the black and white help and work. Its that timeless feeling. It makes me focus on her smile and emotion rather than the color any one part. she looks like she was having a great time and you were able to clearly and rather nicely reproduce that. I love the texture you were able to keep , the hair and eyes are very crisp, sharp and its almost like seeing it in person. The bokeh is fabulous and the greyness of it blends in real well.

Wonderful bokeh here and the eyes are what really that grab me into the piece. Black and white gives that old fashioned mood which I really adore and give me a sense of a timely classic. Her expression and the little oddities such as the dimple and her dirty face as if she just ate something make it pleasing. The wind blowing with her hair adds a nice nature element because we do not actually see anything else, but it has a presence. Focus is dead on, which I can tell what you were talking about with this lens; I have the same lens and love it for portraits too! Thanks for sharing this with us...
