Hands Up

In April 2003 one of my cousin's came up from Campinas to spend a week of his vacation here, where his parents are also at. My dad, my two sisters, my cousin and I went to Brasilia, Brazil's capital.

Brasilia's architecture is unique in the sense that the city is relatively new, being built in 1960. This photo was taken at one of the many pools of water in front of the Ministry buildings. It is a double reflection...one in the water, and one of our shadows, since the sun was right overhead. I included the feet in the bottom of the picture to add context.

It was a fun photo and an experiment at something new in terms of reflections in water.
