Wordle.net has a great feature where you upload the text from anything and it will create a neat word cloud based on the frequency of the words found in the text.

You can change the colors, layouts, maximum number of words, fonts etc. Very, very cool.

I wanted to base it on something personal so I got all the text from my deviantART journals, going back to 2003, and uploaded it to see the results.

Since it's not easy for anyone to get the text from their journals (due to pagination and also false words like "Journal Entry:", "13 Comments" etc, anyone who wants the full text file of their journals can note me and I'll send them the text files by querying the database.

If there is enough demand for this, we might even build a feature where you can grab the text yourself.

Weird. Try increasing the amount of words it uses. It's in the menus there.

This is a sweet deal! I know how to get the text for the journal... is there any possible way to get the text from the comments, or would you have to copy and paste all of them? Just wondering. Thanks for sharing!
