Artist's Comments

Photo taken this last weekend of a lake nearby. F-stop was set f/32 to get more depth, so I had to use a tripod and expose it for 3.2 seconds at 70mm.

Wow, it's so calm! I like the silhouette of the plants in front of the colors of the lake, and the shade from the trees and on the lake feel balanced. The colors have a nice contrast. :D

It makes me wonder; do you go places planning to take pictures, bring a camera everywhere and take a picture when you see a scene you want to shoot, or both?

I love the melancholic character of this image... it looks calm, however at the same time you think that the water will start move before your eyes...

both. because my camera is a bit bigger than a point-and-shoot, I can't carry it around with me all the time. But I try to have it in the car when I'm out so in case I see something exciting, I can go grab it. :)

The more you have it with you though, the more diverse your shots will be, because to go on photo shoots you are stuck with mostly landscapes or night shots.

wow. the color is wonderful. Using the water - reflecting that color - was a perfect idea

Really lovely colours. There is a great calming, soothing feel to this shot. Nice work! :)
