this was taken a year ago when I was returning from Wisconsin to Michigan. I stopped at a small convenience store and as I got out of the car, I spotted this robin resting in a tree right beside the car. We had just had a blizard so I figured he must have been waiting for the wind to die down a bit.

This is definitely one of my favorite winter shots. View it fullsize to appreciate the beauty of the moment. :)

Wow... this is such an amazing shot. I really like the beautiful intertwined look of the trees in the back and the robin really livens up the shot with color. Candid shots can be so beautiful... lovely work :)

The robin really stands out and it looks wonderful, the white of the sky makes your eye draw to his body even more. In Scotland we never get snow as beautiful as this, just slushy horrible stuff that hardly ever lies on the ground. The branches almost look like some sort of maze...
