sunset in Bahia, at the beach in Porto Seguro, lined with palm trees. One of the most beautiful beaches imaginable, with great scenery and hills forming a cove. We were there for a family vacation this last summer and we must have walked at least 20 kilometers along the beaches throughout the week, collecting shells, exploring the reefs and having fun.

Two questions:
1) Is this photo too dark?
2) Should I have exposed it more?
Wow - I feel almost speechless looking at this - and jealous that you have the chance to experience something so amazingly beautiful... It does looks like paradise. The colors blend so perfectly - it's as if it was artificially made... but I know it's not. Um... anywho - I'll stop babbling and give you usefull input.
No and No. I think the picture is absolutely perfect.
Very nice... strong contrast between the vivid sky and the foreground. To answer your questions, I think it might be a tad too dark. The sky gets dark towards the top of the frame a little quicker than I would probably prefer. As far as exposure... I don't know enough about photography yet to answer that one Anyway, nice job... love the colors.
I'm not much of a photographer, much less of your caliber so I can't criticize much, but yes, I think it should have been exposed a tad bit more. The siluetteing (spelling...) of the trees and horizon is great, but the ground is bled out too. Anyway, I agree with the people above. It's a great photo.

The color of the sky compliments the darkness of the trees along the coast, in my opinion.
I've never been there. pity really. I've had the chance to go to other very beautiful beaches,
however, so i wouldn't say i'm in total disadvantage.

I'm not a real photographer but I think it's a little bit too dark in the top of the sky mainly.
Btw, it's a great shot, i really like the sky colors and the composition with the black shapes...
I hope visiting beautiful beaches like this a day, it looks like a paradise!
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.

Saying these words feels naughty, dangerous, too direct, too specific, wrong, intense, in charge, alive.
